Not many lady's Hetchins were made, only three were made with vibrant stays in recent times and only one such curly is known to have been made by Jack Denny. The lady's model is known as the Mixte, which refers to the extra struts running diagonally from the dropouts to the head tube. This one was made in 1999 by Paul Riley. A second of the three modern vibrant Mixtes, a Bob-Jackson-build, is also featured at this site.
The bike is equipped with mixed components: Shimano 105 front changer, Dura Ace mech with Dura Ace indexed dt levers; 8-sp. cassette, 13-32; Stronglight triple crankset, 48/38/26; brakes are Campag Athena. The rear brake is mounted on the middle strut, which gives a straight pull from the lever and smooth action, unlike other Mixtes with the brake mounted on the seat stay which requires special bottom-pull mounting hardware and an extra bend in the Bowden cabling. The original saddle has been replaced by a modern Selle Italia Lady gel saddle. Kalloy seat pin, Panaracer clinchers. The color scheme is lavendar metallic with cream panels and gold trim.
