This 23-inch vibrant frame was first sold 5th February 1954, to Bawden of Bassett So.Hampton, price: 10/2/6. It was renovated at Argos (Bristol) in 2017, and features bright green and white paint with gold trim. The seat tube has a white panel with Olympic bands. The dropouts are chromed.

Components are: Tange headset, NOS Cinelli bar and stem, SR Laprade fluted seat pin, Brooks Swallow pro with large copper rivets (sourced from Sweden) and toolbag, Campagnolo Record bottom bracket, Shimano 600 arabesque chainset 52/42, MKS quill pedals with Christophe toeclips and straps, Shimano 600 arabesque front changer and rear derailleur, Shimano 600 arabesque downtube friction shifters, Dia Compe non-aero levers with Dia Compe deep drop side-pull brakes, 27 x 1 1/4" Mavic MA2 rims on Suntour Q/R hubs built with stainless D/B DT Swiss spokes, rare lightweight folding 27 x 1 1/4" tyres, SKS chromoplastic mudguards, Suntour Winner 5 speed freewheel, clamp-on Zefal bottle cage (frame never had bottle cage bosses so none were added), modern KMC chain, stainless steel cables throughout.

A very harmonious update to the 1950s frame with 1980s components.
