Carpenter Centenary Celebrations, 2022

The Editor is pleased to announce the Carpenter Centenary Celebrations,
to be held July 24th, 2022.

Classic bike enthusiasts are heartily welcome. There will be festivities, two organized rides, and entrance to Herne Hill for trackies.

One organized ride leaves from the site of the pre-war Carpenter facility in Shepperton.
The other ride leaves from 782 Seven Sisters Road, Tottenham.

Anyone wishing to take part, please contact Peter Bedingfield (Carpenter)
-- see link below.

Herne Hill track should need no introduction, but I will nonetheless remind readers that Toni Merkens was a well-known and popular rider in Britain in the 1930s, with many victories to his credit. Below is a scan from the 1934 Herne Hill programme.
