The Jewel was the top-of-the-line model for Carlton. This exemplar was made in 1954 and recently restored by Argos of Bristol. At the time, it cost about 10%, more than a Hetchins Magnum Opus. According to the frame builder, Bob Keeling, only 6 or 7 were ever built. It was apparently over-priced for its intended market.
