Carlton Jewel

The Jewel was the top-of-the-line model for Carlton. This exemplar was made in 1954 and restored by Argos of Bristol. At the time, it cost about 10% more than a Hetchins Magnum Opus. According to the frame builder, Bob Keeling, only 6 or 7 were ever built. It was apparently over-priced for its intended market.

The components on this exemplar include: Dupra cranks, TA rings, Chater Sprint pedals, Simplex 543 mechs, Brooks B17 Swallow saddle, Stronglight seat pin, FB hubs, Conloy Asp rims, Hiduminium brakes, Simplex seat pin, Le Roi "Bartali" levers.
