Mountain King
track bike
London, 1963

The Mountain King was a pure race bike. It was available in road or track versions. This track bike is fitted with a fixed gear. MK lugs were based on Prugnat long point lugs, filed and cut away. The MK also featured a plain fork re-inforcement, as opposed to the more elegant tangs seen on other Hetchins models.

This bike has been restored. The components include a Universal 88 brake at the front, Stronglight crank with TA ring, Campag Record hi-flange hubs and seat post, Ambrosio stem and Cinelli bar. It was often seen at the annual Hetchins Rally.
