1969 Vade Mecum Mk I

Vade Mecum track iron
London, 1969

This Vade Mecum features Mk I lugs and track ends. It has no bore holes for brakes and close clearance under the solid fork crown; this frame was made for track racing.

The frame bears comparison with the grass/path racer featured here. Grass track racers had wider clearances, brake mount holes, and eyelets on the dropouts.

The bike is equipped with the following components: badged Cinelli stem, steel (engraved) Cinelli bars, full Campagnolo Record of the era: hi-flange hubs, headset (proper Pista), cranks, custom milled seat post; Regina chain, Brooks Professional saddle, AVA Pro rims, modern tires.
