The Hetchins/Hobbs Ride, 2024

The 32d Hetchins ride will take place, conjoined with Hobbs, on Sunday 8th Sept. 2024 on the Somerset Levels.

This year's plan is to meet at Sweet's Tea Rooms at 9 a.m. for Bacon Butties etc. Start the ride at 10:30. 21 flat miles. Stop at The Duck for lunch. Return to Sweet's for the end of the ride and dinner for those who wish.

The ride is open to anyone with an interest in bespoke bicycles of any make and vintage. There is no fee; just pay for your drinks and food.

For those with long memories, the first two Hetchins rides took place nearby at Westhay in 1990 and '91. We propose to alternate a Hetchins event in Banbury in odd-numbered years (as last year), with a joint event in even-numbered years in Somerset.
